Hareshaw Linn

The waterfall seen in this image is a fairly hidden treasure, situated approximately 2 miles outside of the centre of Bellingham in Northumberland.

I knew the place existed, having seen it depicted elsewhere, but until the night I took this image, I had not had the pleasure of seeing it with my own eyes.

It was breathtaking!

I wanted to capture the milky white glow of the spread of the waterfall as it met and became part of the pool below.

When I see this image I can at once 'hear' the powerful sound of the waterfall that lay before me that night.
