Longsands
This image shows the beach at Longsands in Tynemouth.
It’s a fairly traditional representation and therefore it signifies something a little different from the rest of my portfolio.
My intrigue with this image is the way the sea curves across the beach towards the church and beyond as well as the deceptively high waves with opportunistic surfers that can be seen literally dotted on the water.
The line of the cloud in the sky appears to move to meet the line of the waves as the tide of the sea powerfully ebbs and flows.
