Mýrdalsjökull Glacier

Moving eastward, we turned off Route 1 and followed a dirt track for 5km until we came to one of the fingers of the glacier Mýrdalsjökull.

This is Iceland's 4th largest icecap and covers some 700 sq Km. As we walked towards the edge of the glacier the earth was covered in black ash and was very dusty. The next set of images expand upon our time walking on the glacier and being amazed at the alien landscape.

Some of the following images have people included in them .....the trick is to spot them :-)

Location: Mýrdalsjökull, Southern Iceland
