Gullfoss
The final cascade of Gullfoss seems to disapear into the ground. This is the first waterfall I have ever seen where the water falls into a gorge which runs 90 degrees to the main waterfall. Hence you get the view in this image of the water disappearing into the gorge contrasted with the lush green of the river bank .
